Swoozie is a YouTuber, vlogger, scriptwriter, gamer by profession, and American, Trinidadian by nationality. He is also a professional gamer and has competed in Dead or Alive 4 for the Los Angeles Complexity, and has appearances in the reality series WCG Ultimate Gamer and the film The Space Between Us.

Swoozie’s birth took place on July 10, 1988, in Diego Martin, Trinidad, and Tobago. He was born Adande Thorne. He is not the only child of his parents and has a sibling, a younger sister named NjiDeka Thorne. Swoozie is now an uncle to NjiDeka’s son Devin.
The Thorne family moved to Florida, United States when he was five years old. In middle school, he studied at a private school but in 10th grade, he attended West Orange High School. In high school, he used to wear Nike clothes. So people started calling him NikeBoy and Swoosh which ultimately evolved into his nickname sWooZie.
His ethnicity is Trinidadian.

Swoozie is currently a single man, although a secret romance cannot be ruled out. He has not shared the name of his previous girlfriends and loves to keep his privacy.

How it started
While still in school, Swoozie worked several odd jobs to support his gaming habits. He worked in a car workshop, at Walt Disney World, and as a lifeguard at Hard Rock Hotel. During this time he was introduced to the game Dead or Alive and soon realized that he was very good at it. So, he started to play it professionally.
Word got around that Swoozie was going to be on TV- playing at a gaming event, and people began to ask him about it. So as to explain to people how he got into gaming and keep them updated, he made a YouTube channel.

Around the time Swoozie was uploading videos to YouTube, he contacted George Lucas’ Visual Effects Company ILM and sent them his script. His script was passed to make the 2011 movie Rango. Back in the gaming world, he was selected for the Los Angeles Complexity esports team.
Unfortunately, he was not drafted in the second season but was let to host and interview players. Soon he was cast on the reality series WCG Ultimate Gamer and in 2015 signed with Creative Artists Agency.
All this while Swoozie kept his viewers updated on his YouTube channel about his daily life, which gained him a strong fanbase. With the encouragement and advice from fellow YouTuber Michelle Phan, he began to take YouTube seriously.
After years of hard work and dedication, Swoozie has around 7 million subscribers on his YouTube channel where he shares events in his life in a hilarious way.
Moreover, he landed a minor role in the 2017 film The Space Between Us and hosted the web series Lace Up: The Ultimate Sneaker Challenge. In January 2016 he got an opportunity to interview President Barack Obama during a YouTube Livestream.
Swoozie has collaborated with many YouTubers including Lilly Singh, Simmi Singh, Wassabi, Alex Clark, etc.
