The young actor Timothée Chalamet was born on December 27, 1995, in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan, New York City, U.S.A. His birth name/full name is Timothée Hal Chalamet. His father is Marc Chalamet, an editor for UNICEF and his mother is Nicole Flender, a former dancer and a real estate broker. He has an older sister named Pauline Chalamet.

Growing up, Timothée Chalamet spent his summer days in Le Chambon-sur-Lignon, France. But instead of being an actor, he thought of becoming a professional soccer player.

For education, he attended PS 87 William T. Sherman School, an elementary school. He then joined MS 54 Booker T. Washington Middle School. Chalamet was then accepted into Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts and graduated from there in 2013. He and actor Ansel Elgort are high school friends.

Following graduation, Chalamet attended Columbia University for a year before transferring to New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study.

His ethnicity includes Austrian, Russian, French, and English.

Born into a family of performers and entertainers, he too pursued acting. His older sister, born in 1992, named Pauline Chalamet is also an actress. Filmmaker Rodman Flender is his maternal uncle and his maternal aunt is Amy Lippman, a TV producer. Chalamet’s maternal grandfather was Harold Flender, a screenwriter and his maternal grandmother is Enid Flender, a former Broadway dancer.

Timothée Chalamet – Girlfriend, Relationship

Chalamet was in a relationship with Lily-Rose Depp, daughter of actor Johnny Depp and fashion model Vanessa Paradis. The rumors started when he was spotted kissing his girlfriend in October 2018. They dated until April 2020 and briefly reunited in March 2021

Before Depp, he and Lourdes Leon, Madonna’s daughter dated for a year from March 2013 to March 2014. However, the pair soon broke up.

In June 2020 it was reported he was dating Eiza González, a Mexican actress. They split up by October 2020. Timothée Chalamet was linked to model Sarah Talabi in April 2022.

Timothée Chalamet – Career

Early Days

As a child, Timothée Chalamet had done some commercials and two horror movies. In 2009, he made his first acting debut in an episode of Law & Order. This was followed by a minor role in Loving Leah (2009). In 2012, he landed a recurring role in Royal Pains and Homeland.

Over time, he has starred in Men, Women & Children (2014), Interstellar (2014), Worst Friends (2014) One & Two (2015), Love the Coopers (2015) and in The Adderall Diaries (2015) where he played teenaged Stephen Elliott, the character of James Franco. In 2016, he portrayed the role of Billy opposite actress Lily Rabe in Julia Hart's Miss Stevens.

Films, Series

After years of minor and supporting roles, Timothée Chalamet got his breakthrough role in Luca Guadagnino's 2017 movie Call Me by Your Name. The movie was based upon the novel by André Aciman of the same name. Chalamet's co-star was Armie Hammer, who played Oliver. The same year he starred in the crime drama Hot Summer Nights, Lady Bird. The following year in 2018, he was cast in Beautiful Boy.

His other movies include The King (2019), Little Women (2019), Dune (2021), The French Dispatch, A Rainy Day in New York alongside Selena Gomez.

Co-stars

On the set of Little Women, Chalamet worked alongside Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Laura Dern, and Meryl Streep.
