Tom Hopper was born on January 28, 1985, in Coalville, Leicestershire, England, the UK as Thomas Edward Hopper. His father’s name is Richard Hooper and his mother’s name is Meredith Jean Hopper. He is not the only child of his parents and has three siblings – brothers Ben Hopper, Jack Hopper, and sister Emily Hopper.

Early Days

Hopper’s debut screen role was in an episode of the TV series Casualty (2007) as Hugh 'Chewy' Mullen. This was followed by guest roles in the films Saxon (2007), Tormented (2009), and in the TV series Kingdom (2008), Doctors (2008), and Doctor Who (2020). Finally, in 2020, Tom Hopper landed the role of Sir Percival in the drama series Merlin.

He portrayed the character for a total of 26 episodes, until 2012. This role helped him land major projects in the near future.
