This was followed by minor roles in the films Clean and Narrow (2000), Hulk (2003), Heads N TailZ (2005), etc., and in the episodes of the TV series Spin City (2001), My Guide to Becoming a Rock Star (2002), Undeclared (2001-2003), The O.C. (2004), Six Feet Under (2005), among others.

Finally, in 2006, Kevin Rankin was cast as a recurring character Herc in the episodes of the TV series Friday Night Lights. He portrayed the character for a total of 21 episodes and is considered her breakthrough role.
