Who is Travis Tritt?
Travis Tritt is a country singer, songwriter, actor by profession, and American by nationality. As of 2019, he has released 12 studio albums from various labels, and his songs charted more than 40 times on the Hot Country Songs charts, including five number ones.
He is also a two-time Grammy Award winner.

Travis Tritt’s birth took place on February 9, 1963, in Marietta, Georgia, USA. He was born James Travis Tritt to his father James Tritt Sr. and his mother Gwen Tritt. His parents divorced and again remarried each other when Travis Tritt was 18 years old.
He is not the only child of his parents and has a sibling, a sister named Sheila Tritt.

Travis Tritt – Girlfriend, Wife, Children, Divorce
Travis Tritt married his high school sweetheart, Karen Ryon in September 1982. Back then Tritt worked at an air conditioning company while Ryon worked at a Burger King. But the relationship ended in divorce just two years after in 1984.
When he was 21, he married a 33-year-old woman named Jodi Barnett. Shortly after signing into Warner Bros., he divorced his wife. Their divorce was finalized in 1989, just a month before his first studio album Country Club was to be released. His song Here's a Quarter is about the night he received his divorce papers.
On April 12, 1997, Tritt married his longtime girlfriend Theresa Nelson. Together they have three children- sons Tristan James (born June 16, 1999) and Tarian Nathaniel (born November 20, 2003) and daughter Tyler Reese (born February 18, 1998). Tyler Reese is also a singer like her father.

Travis Tritt – Career
Before Fame
Travis Tritt started singing very young after he saw his church's Sunday school choir perform. At the age of eight, he received his first guitar and taught himself to play. By the fourth grade, he began performing for his class.
After he turned 14, his parents gifted him another guitar, and with the help of his Uncle Sam Lockhart, he learned many more songs. Eventually, Tritt joined his church band.
In his teen years, Travis Tritt worked at a furniture store, and later as a supermarket clerk. As he got older he started playing in clubs while also working at an air conditioning company.

Record deals and albums
With the help of Warner Bros. Records executive Danny Davenport, Tritt began recording demos for several years. Finally, his demo album titled Proud of the Country was completed, which he sent to Warner Bros. representatives in Los Angeles.
The record label was impressed by his demo and Tritt was signed to the label in 1987. His debut album Country Club was released in 1990 followed by It's All About to Change (1991), T-R-O-U-B-L-E (1992), Ten Feet Tall and Bulletproof (1994), The Restless Kind (1996), No More Looking over My Shoulder (1998).
Travis Tritt left Warner Bros. Records, and Tritt signed with Columbia Records. From the label, he released three studio albums- Down the Road I Go (2000), Strong Enough (2002), and My Honky Tonk History (2004).
In July 2005, Tritt exited Columbia Records and signed with independent Category 5 Records in February 2006. He released his next album The Storm via the label.
After leaving Category 5 Records amid legal issues, he opened his own label named Post Oak label. Through Post Oak label, Travis Tritt released the album The Calm After... in July 2013.
Acting days
The musician has also appeared in films Rio Diablo (1993), The Cowboy Way (1994), Fire Down Below (1997), and in the TV series Tales from the Crypt (1995), Yes, Dear, (1995) Sgt. Bilko (1996).

Tritt has been nominated for six Country Music Association nominations, among which he won five. Most of all he has won Billboard Awards (1990), and Grammy Awards (1992, 1999), among others.
Travis Tritt – Accident, Fatality
On May 18, 2019, Travis Tritt was in a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles and a tour bus. The accident which happened on Veteran’s Highway took two civilian lives and injured one other.
