High School Football
In high school, Troy Fautanu played football and was a three-star prospect with a rating of 59th offensive tackle in the country.
College Football
He also played college football for the Washington Huskies but was redshirted in the first season i.e. 2019. In the 2020 season, he played in four games while in the 2021 season, he played in nine games. Fautanu’s 2022 season was a breakout for him as she started all 13 college games. He was named the Pac-12 offensive lineman of the week in the game against Michigan State and named second-team all-Pac-12 for his effort during the season.
In the 2023 seasons, he was awarded the Morris Trophy and Joe Moore Award as the top offensive lineman and top offensive line unit respectively.
NFL
Fautanu was declared for the 2024 NFL draft. During the draft, Troy Fautanu was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers with the 20th overall pick during the first round.
