Allison Williams & Husband Ricky Van Veen Split After 4 Years Of Marriage
It’s over! Allison Williams, 31, and her husband Ricky Van Veen, 38 are calling it quits after only four years of marriage. Page Six reported that the pair have mutually decided to “separate as a couple.”
“With mutual love and respect, we have made the decision to separate as a couple. We are grateful for the friendship that we have and will continue to have.”
A source close to the former couple revealed,
“Every time I’ve seen Allison out recently, Ricky’s been nowhere to be seen.”
Another source added,
“Allison really is Type A, a real go-getter. while Ricky is far more relaxed and laid-back. Things just haven’t been going well recently.”
Girls star Allison Williams and co-founder of CollegeHumor Ricky Van Veen had first met in 2011 at a “Bachelor” viewing party. After years of dating, the couple got engaged in 2014 and married in September 2015.
It was a lavish ceremony at Brush Creek Ranch in Saratoga, Wyo. The wedding was officiated by Tom Hanks while Williams’ dad MNSBC host Brian walked her down the aisle.
Girls creator and star Lena Dunham and fellow celebrities Katy Perry, John Mayer, Jemima Kirke, Barry Diller, Seth Meyers, and Zosia Mamet attended the wedding.
Williams rose to fame in the HBO hit playing Marnie Michaels while Van Veen is currently Head of Global Creative Strategy at Facebook. The pair does not have any children together.
