David Harbour breaks silence on cheating allegation from ex-wife Lily Allen

David Harbour has finally spoken up about his marriage and the cheating allegation from his ex-wife, Lily Allen.

The singer had accused him of infidelity on her 2025 studio album West End Girl.

While on an interview with Variety, the Stranger Things actor revealed, “It was weird. I do believe that it is the privilege of every artist to use their experience to create art, and so I respect her for doing that.”

When questioned if he would like to deny the allegations, he elaborated his response, “Stories are complex. And that’s why I say I respect her creation of art to channel her experience. It wasn’t my experience.”

The 51-year-old further explained that his skill was to “transform life into art " through acting.

Harbour, who recently starred as ASL interpreter Floyd Smernitch in the HBO series DTF St. Louis, concluded the topic, “I can’t really say that much more. It’s my private life. In spite of the fact that a lot of people don’t allow me a private life, I value it.”

The Hellboy star added, “And I also value the lives of the people that I interact with privately. I just won’t speak about that.”

Lily Allen and David Harbour met on the exclusive dating app Raya in 2019 and married in September 2020.

In her studio album, West End Girl, she detailed the end of her marriage, including an open relationship, alleged infidelity, and emotional manipulation.

The pair separated in early 2025 and subsequently divorced. They did not have any children together.

Following the end of their marriage, Harbour reportedly experienced a nervous breakdown while Allen underwent treatment to maintain her sobriety.
