Amy Schumer reveals her husband Chris Fischer has autism spectrum!
In the new Netflix special Growing, American actress and comedian Amy Schumer opened up about her husband Chris Fischer’s recent diagnosis. She revealed,
"I knew from the beginning that my husband's brain was a little different than mine. My husband was diagnosed with what used to be called Asperger's. He has autism spectrum disorder. He's on the spectrum."
She added that she had noticed the signs early on but was not bothered. Schumer continued,
"And once he was diagnosed, it dawned on me how funny it was, because all of the characteristics that make it clear that he's on the spectrum are all of the reasons that I fell madly in love with him. That's the truth."
Surprise Wedding
Schumer and Fischer surprised fans when they married on February 13, 2018, with Hollywood stars Jennifer Lawrence, Larry David, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Jennifer Aniston as guests. Chris Fischer is a professional chef and they had only announced they were dating just a few months earlier in November 2017.
Schumer announced the pregnancy in October 2018 and are now expecting their first child together. She also has been diagnosed with hyperemesis, which causes severe nausea.

The comedian talked fondly of her husband, stating that he is unable to lie,
"He says whatever is on his mind. He keeps it so real. He doesn't care about social norms or what you expect him to say or do. If I say to him 'Does this look like s**t?' he'll go 'Yeah, you have a lot of other clothes, why don't you wear those?'"
