‘Annie Hall’ star Diane Keaton has not been on a date for a long time- 35 years!
Yup! You heard it right!
The 73-year-old Annie Hall star Diane Keaton has not been on a date for the last 35 years. The actress who shot to fame in 1969 with Woody Allen's production of Play It Again, Sam has had several high-profile relationships.
Keaton who dated Woody Allen in 1969s remains close friends. She has also romanced Warren Beatty and Al Pacino but she never married. But she does have faced questions when asked about her unmarried status.
In a July 2001 interview, Diane Keaton said of being older and unmarried, "I don't think that because I'm not married it's made my life any less. That old maid myth is garbage."
However, she is a mother to two children, her daughter Dexter (born 1995) was adopted in 1996 and her son Duke (born 2000) was adopted in 2001.
Just in May 2019, with People, she talked about her never being married, “I don't think it would have been a good idea for me to have married. and I'm sure they're happy about it, too...[I’m not sad] because I think that I needed more of a maternal aspect. I don’t think it would have been a good idea for me to have married, and I’m really glad I didn’t, and I’m sure they’re happy about it, too.”
She also added, “I’m 73 and I think I’m the only one in my generation, and maybe before, who has been a single woman all her life.”
And in July 2019 interview with InStyle, Diane Keaton was asked about her dating life, to which she replied, “ ...I haven’t been on a date in, I would say, 35 years. No dates.”
