Actress Anya Taylor-Joy and Malcolm McRae have married in an intimate courthouse wedding.

Taylor-Joy, who landed her breakthrough in NetFlix’s The Queen’s Gambit, tied the knot with McRaetied just before flying to Australia to continue filming Furiosa where she plays the title role. The movie is the prequel to the 2015 film Mad Max: Fury Road.

The 26-year-old first sparked rumors of her engagement to the 27-year-old musician/actor just last month after she was spotted with a diamond ring on her wedding finger.

The couple has always been coy about their relationship but they are believed to be dating for the last year. They had finally made their debut as a couple at Vanity Fair Oscars red carpet afterparty in February. Taylor-Joy finally commented publicly about Malcolm McRae in the March print of British Vogue.

“I said to my partner the other day that he was my hobby. I’ve finally found someone who will happily sit in silence with me reading. We’re basically 80 years old and 7 at the same time, and it works really well,” she said.

Around the same time, Malcolm McRae also took to Instagram to write about his girlfriend alongside a picture of themselves wearing Dior at the VF bash, “Don’t know why this Merry or Pippin looking guy on the left is mean mugging but I’m f**king proud of this girl.”
