Aubrey Plaza married boyfriend Jeff Baena in secret

Aubrey Plaza has tied the knot!

Aubrey Plaza, 36, revealed in an Instagram post that she and her longtime boyfriend Jeff Baena, 43, married in secret- calling him her “husband.”

“So proud of my darling husband @jeffbaena for dreaming up another film that takes us to Italia to cause some more trouble.” she captioned the post, talking about their new indie comedy project Spin Me Round.

She continued, “excited to be reunited with the amazing @alisonbrie (who also co-wrote this one!) and @theofficialsuperstar @sordociego @lauren_weedman and so many more fun people in this. Preparati!! IT”

The now-married pair had been dating since 2011. They have since worked on multiple projects together including 2014’s Life After Beth and 2017’s The Little Hours.

Plaza, well-known as a Parks and Recreation alum, talked about her relationship with the director during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.

“We were quarantined for months and months like everybody else,” Aubrey Plaza told People. “And we did enjoy it. I think it was, obviously other than all of the catastrophic things happening in the world, just on a personal level, relationship level, was kind of nice to just be forced to be in one place for that long. Could have gone either way, I guess.”

She has often opened up about her relationship with Baena. In 2019 she spoke about how much she and Baena understood one another because both are public figures.

“I think that when you’re with someone that is in your field, they understand what you’re dealing with on a deeper level. So, obviously, you are able to support each other and really understand kind of the journey that we’re both on,”  Plaza had said to the outlet.

She also countered her previous saying, “ You know, working with your partner can always be challenging."
