Camila Cabello discusses losing her V-card at 20 to ex Matthew Hussey

Camila Cabello has revealed when she lost her virginity and to whom.

While appearing on the Armchair Expert podcast, the Havana singer recalled meeting the British dating coach and YouTuber Matthew Hussey on the TV show Today.

She reminisced of her 2018 encounter, “I was outside where they had the TV with the scripts. I had actually listened to his podcast before.”

Cabello, who listened to Hussey’s Love Life podcast, approached him to tell him she was “such a fan.”

She shared, “So we went to dinner that night and that was my first relationship. It was late for my first relationship. I was 20.”

When Armchair Expert host Dax Shepard asked if she was sexually active before her relationship with Hussey, she replied, “No! That was my first time having sex. First love-making was at 20, 21. … It was literally love-making. It was beautiful.”

She continued to praise her ex-boyfriend, “He was a really great person. It was like the perfect first relationship. It really expanded my world because he wasn’t in my industry too. It was like, oh my God, have you ever seen ‘Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown’ and have you ever seen Studio Ghibli films?’ He just really expanded my references.”

Referring to 2018 as a great year, the songstress added, “I really want this year to be similar for me.”

Cabello, 27, and Hussey, 36, broke up in June 2019.

Hussey is now married to creative director Audrey Le Strat, having married her in October 2023.

Cabello went on to date Shawn Mendes after working together on the song Señorita - which also included their steamy music video. After months of speculation, they eventually confirmed their romance in October 2019.

Mendes, 25, confessed that he and Cabello officially began dating on July 4, 2019.

However, just after two years of dating, they split in November 2021.

Although the pair sparked reconciliation rumors after being spotted sharing a kiss at the 2023 Coachella, a source revealed they were not back together but ”remain friends with a lot of love and history between them.”

Since then Cabello has dated Lox Club CEO Austin Kevitch for eight months before breaking up in February 2023. She has also been rumored to have flings with Drake in December 2023.
