Marvel’s Captain America star Chris Evans’ date with Downton Abbey beauty Lily James was not exactly lowkey after paparazzi spotted them in London.

James was seen leaving private members’ club Mark’s in Mayfair with Evans who was following closely behind before getting into the same black cab together, around 1 a.m. on Saturday. The taxi took them back to the luxe hotel Corinthia but Evans exited the taxi separately from James.

While James, 31 headed to a door at the side of the hotel, the 39-year-old actor headed to the main entrance where he had to wait for a member of staff to let him in.

After waving his guest key card through the glass, he was informed by the hotel staffer he couldn’t immediately be let in, to which he joked, “The hell I can’t. I’m a captain! I know this neighborhood. I got beat up in that alley. And that parking lot. And behind that diner.”

Lily James dated “The Crown” star Matt Smith for five years, until their breakup in 2019. Chris Evans was last linked to comedian Jenny Slate in 2017. He has dated several famous women - Kate Bosworth, Jessica Biel, Gisele Bündchen, and Christina Ricci.
