Demi Lovato engaged! Steps out with fiancé Jutes

Demi Lovato is engaged to be married.

Lovato and her boyfriend turned fiancé Jutes had gone public with their relationship in August 2022.

The singer’s representatives confirmed to People that the couple had gotten engaged on Saturday in Los Angeles.

Lovato, 31, and Lutes, 32, first met in January 2022 while writing and co-writing her song Substance.

The Canadian songwriter popped the question with a pear-shaped diamond solitaire engagement ring. Following the "personal and intimate proposal” the pair then reportedly headed to the L.A. restaurant Craig to celebrate with their families.

Lutes often features his partner on social media. For Lovato’s 31st birthday, he took to Instagram to pay tribute.

“Happy birthday to my best friend. you're obvs the most beautiful and talented person to ever do it. but more importantly, you're weird af and u make me cry laughing,” he captioned the post.

Demi Lovato also has been vocal about her relationship with Lutes while promoting her eighth album Holy Fvck.

“I definitely am in a really good place. I don't know what I'm going to write about on my next album because I'm so happy. It is a really good feeling ... definitely a bunch of sappy love songs — for sure,” she shared.

While on SiriusXM's The Morning Mash-Up, she revealed that they were "friends first and foremost."

"We became friends first. We were friends for several months and then we decided to start dating and well after we told each other how we felt,” she shared.

On his birthday, they took to Instagram to write, “My sweet angel - it’s officially your birthday!!! I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate you because I couldn’t be more in love with your gorgeous, funny, sexy, talented self I've waited my whole life to find you and I can't wait to celebrate so many more birthdays together.. you're a literal dream come true and I'm so grateful to call you mine.”

The couple is yet to share plans for their upcoming wedding.
