Emma Stone is engaged – shows off her engagement ring!

Oscar-winning actress Emma Stone is engaged to be married to her boyfriend David McCary. McCary posted a picture on Wednesday on Instagram of them – with Stone wearing her new ring.

The couple was first reported to be dating in October of 2017 and since made sporadic public appearances together including the 2019 Screen Actors Guild Awards, an NBA game, and the Met Gala “Boom Boom Afterparty.” 

They had first met over two years ago (in 2016) while Stone, 31 hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live (SNL) where David McCary, 34 works as a writer and segment director.

Back in April 2019, Emma Stone was spotted wearing “an engagement ring” but the rumors of their engagement were never confirmed. Stone had told Elle in a 2018 interview,

“My perspective about kids has changed as I’ve gotten older. I never babysat or anything. As a teenager, I was like, I’m never getting married, I’m never having kids. And then I got older and I was like, I really want to get married, I really want to have kids."

"It’s weird how much turning 30 crystallizes your life. Instead of just living the dreams that I had in my youth and getting to do the job that I love to do and making friends and going through all of that, it’s like, Now what do I actively want as an adult?"
