"Game of Thrones" actor Jack Gleeson and girlfriend Roisin O’Mahony marry in an intimate ceremony
Actor Jack Gleeson, who famously portrayed King Joffrey Baratheon in the early seasons of HBO’s Game of Thrones tied the knot with girlfriend Roisin O’Mahony over the weekend.
Their small intimate wedding was held in Ireland.
The couple’s priest Patsy Lynch broke the news on Twitter where he wrote, “Very simple, prayerful and dignified marriage ceremony for Film Celebrity Jason Gleeson and Roisin: The Glen Church.”
Father Patsy Lynch also shared several pictures of the wedding ceremony at the church.
The bride and groom kept it simple on their big day. Gleeson wore a green button-down and gray slacks while O’Mahony looked beautiful in a blue-gold patterned sundress.
Jack Gleeson, 30, starred in the hit TV series from 2011 to 2014. After his exemplary role as the series’ most hated character came to an end, he retired from acting.
"I just stopped enjoying it as much as I used to. It's not like I hate it, it's just not what I want to do,” he confessed to EW in 2014.
After six long years away from the cameras, Gleeson recently made his comeback to television on the show Out of Her Mind. Moreover, he is set to star in The Land of Saints and Sinners alongside Liam Neeson, Kerry Condon, Sarah Greene, Conor MacNeill, and Desmond Eastwood.
