Hannah Montana debuted on The Disney Channel for a total of four seasons until its end in 2011. The series’ main cast Miley Cyrus who played Miley Stewart and pop star Hannah Montana was the breakout star of the series. It also featured her real-life father as her on-screen father and her little sister, Noah Cyrus as the guest star.
Billy Ray Cyrus wrote to Instagram alongside a nostalgic picture on 24th March, "Dang Flabbit! Happy Anniversary #HannahMontana! 13 years ago today we released the pilot! @mileycyrus @emilyosment @realdukeofearles @mitchelmusso."
Miley Cyrus and Mitchel Musso also shared throwback pictures on Instagram.
Miley Cyrus has remained in the spotlight over the years, releasing hit albums, singles and starring in movies. But what about the remaining cast? Are they still in show business?
Miley Cyrus, who portrayed Miley Stewart and Hannah Montana is now one of the most popular celebs around. Other than a bit of wild phase where she rocked short bangs, twerked on Robin Thicke at the 2013 MTV VMAs, bared it all for Wrecking Ball video and appeared nude or scantily clad in pictures, she is back to being Miley.
She is now enjoying life with husband Liam Hemsworth, having tied the knot on December 23, 2018.
Emily Osment played Lilly Truscott, the quirky best friend of Cyrus’ character Miley Stewart and she portrayed the role for the whole four seasons. After the series ended, Osment went on to voice characters on Family Guy and Rainbow Brite while also appearing on shows such as Mom, Young & Hungry, Cleaners, and The Kominsky Method.
Like Cyrus, she has her own music career and continues to make music.
Jason Earles portrayed the role of Jackson Stewart, the older nosy brother of Miley Cyrus’ character Miley Stewart. After the show ended, the then 34-year-old actor went on to star in shows such as Disney XD's Kickin' It, WTH: Welcome to Howler and Hotel Du Loone.
In 2017, Earles tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Katie Drysen.
Mitchel Musso portrayed Oliver Oken, Miley Stewart’s other chill best friend in the whole series. After the series, Musso hosted PrankStars while also appearing on the show Pair of Kings. But his downfall came with a DUI arrest at the age of 20. Musso was written off Pair of Kings and the show PrankStars got canceled.
Since then he has worked in animated programs Phineas and Ferb and Milo Murphy's Law.
Moises Arias was Rico in the Hannah Montana series. He was the smart, sometimes cocky kid who wanted to be a ladies’ man. After the show ended, he made appearances in TV series such as The Middle and Jean-Claude Van Johnson and films Ben-Hur and Pitch Perfect 3, to name a few.
Noah Cyrus appeared on six episodes of Hannah Montana. She is the real-life sister of Miley Cyrus and began her career in 2016. Her debut single Make Me Cry was soon released followed by single Live or Die, collaborating with Lil Xan on the latter in 2018. But the two broke up after a few months.
Noah Cyrus is still pursuing her music career like her older sister.
Billy Ray Cyrus
Billy Ray Cyrus, the real-life father of Miley Cyrus and Noah Cyrus was already an established country singer when Hanna Montana first aired. He portrayed Robby Ray Stewart in the Disney series. After the series ended, he continued on with his music career and starred in the show Still the King.
