Actress Mindy Kaling shared a memorable moment she had with her daughter on Instagram.

The post showed her three-year-old daughter engrossed in Wednesday’s historic presidential inauguration with Kamala Harris getting sworn in on TV as the country’s first female vice president.

“I was at work, but apparently she said: “Is that mommy? It looks like Mommy.” The best compliment I ever got! It matters. Happy Inauguration everyone,’’ Kaling captioned the post.

The actress and comedian is of Indian descent. Harris’ mother is of Indian origin while her father is African-American.

Mindy Kaling’s following post was about poet and writer Amanda Gorman who spoke at the inauguration. “There’s so many stars out this morning,” she wrote.
