A spokesperson for the DA’s office said in a statement, “We believe that Mr. Davidson engaged in reckless driving, which ultimately resulted in his involvement in a serious collision into a home. Luckily, no one was seriously injured as a result of this collision. We know that reckless driving can have devastating consequences.”

Davidson, 29, had been driving a Mercedes-Benz at a reportedly “high rate of speed” when it jumped a curb, hit a fire hydrant and skidded across the front lawn, and crashed into the corner of a Beverly Hills home.

His current girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders was a passenger in his car at the time of the crash.

Pictures of the aftermath showed one corner of the house pushed inward, tire marks on the lawn while the front end of the Mercedes-Benz was bashed in from the impact – with pieces missing.

The couple, who walked away unharmed, apologized to the homeowners, who decided not to file a lawsuit against the celebrities.

The comedian and TV show host turned actor, who has had a series of short-lived relationships with older women of Hollywood, recently made headlines after a temper tantrum with PETA.

After the animal advocacy group called him out for buying a dog for his mom from a pet store, Davidson left an explicit voicemail.

“My mom’s f–king dog who is 2 years old died a week before, so we’re all so sad, so I had to get a specific dog. So why don’t you do your research before you f–king create news stories for people because you’re boring. F–k you, and suck my d–k,” he said in the infamous voicemail.

Later, after calming down, he told TMZ that his grief of losing their late pup, Henry, was the source of his anger outburst.

“It was a poor choice of words. I shouldn’t have said what I said, but I am not sorry for standing up for myself and my family,” he told the outlet.
