Rich Paul opens up on romance with Adele

Rich Paul has finally revealed how he met his fiancée while speaking on Craig Melvin’s “Glass Half Full” podcast – through a friend!

He shared on the podcast, “I had known her for some time. You know, just when you’re in these circles, man, you’re in these circles. But I never tried to get fresh with people who are in comfortable circles because they always have to deal with that, so that was never my thing. It was really something that happened very organically, really.”

The 45-year-old sports agent jokingly admitted that he had not actively listened to many of her songs, noting, “Obviously, you can’t help but hear the monster hits.

He explained how his song preferences have changed now.

“But obviously, you know, I’m pretty on the pulse of a lot of different things, and so, you know, some of the songs, the big songs, but I didn’t know all of the joints that I know now.”

Speaking of his relationship with the Hello hitmaker, Paul shared that they bumped into each other on numerous occasions, which led to increasing familiarity.

He added, “We’re all in the same vicinity, we’re all in the same circles, and, you know, we’re hanging and whatnot. We used to always see each other, laugh and joke. It was just cordial, really, just cordial.”

Paul added that they started dating after he “became a person of interest” for the 38-year-old singer.

Rich Paul and Adele sparked dating rumors in 2021 and eventually made their public debut at an NBA game the same year. They got engaged, which Paul confirmed in August 2024, after three years of dating.

While on air with Oprah Winfrey, she gushed about her then-boyfriend in 2021, “He’s hilarious and very smart. He’s very, very smart. It’s quite incredible watching him do what he does.”

Adele was previously married to Simon Konecki from 2018 to 2021. She shares son Angelo, 13, with her former husband.
