Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost have married
Avengers actress Scarlett Johansson and Saturday Night Live co-head writer Colin Jost have finally tied the knot.
Meals on Wheels America announced on Instagram on Thursday that the pair exchanged vows in a small ceremony surrounded by loved ones over the weekend.
“We’re thrilled to break the news that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost were married over the weekend in an intimate ceremony with their immediate family and love ones, following COVID-19 safety precautions as directed by the CDC,” the post revealed.
The organization also shared that it was their wish to use their wedding for a good cause – by supporting Meals on Wheels America which helps vulnerable older adults during these covid times.
“Their wedding wish is to help make a difference for vulnerable older adults during this difficult time by supporting @mealsonwheelsamerica,” the organization added, “Please consider donating to celebrate the happy couple by clicking the link in our bio.”
Johansson, 35, and Jost, 38, have been together since May 2017 after they were spotted kissing following her SNL appearance. They made their relationship public when they attended the American Museum of Natural History Gala together.
Throughout the times they stayed under the radar and confirmed their engagement in May 2019.
Jost had joked last year at a Hamptons benefit on his thoughts of marriage, “I was so scared of marriage for so long because every time I talked to someone who just got married, or was about to get married, is like, ‘Oh my God, you got to do it … What could go wrong?’ Then you talk to someone who’s been married for five years, and they’re like, ‘Don’t rush into it … you have your whole life ahead of you. Don’t have kids. They’re the worst.’?”
This is the first marriage for the writer and actress’ third. She was briefly married to Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2010 and later to French journalist Romain Dauriac in 2014. Following the birth of their daughter, Rose, in 2014, they finalized their divorce in September 2017.
