Actress Kathrine Narducci, well known for starring in the 1999 series The Sopranos, told Page Six that she was working at Point Terminal Market when she auditioned for “A Bronx Tale” – and beat out 2,500 girls to win her first role as Robert De Niro’s onscreen wife.

“De Niro said to me, ‘I want you to know you beat out 2,500 girls … and that’s important for you to know,'” Narducci reminisced adding that the role felt “spiritual. like I was supposed to be there. Although she says that they don’t have a “‘What are you doing Friday night?'” relationship, she explained “it’s like, this person that I feel very good about.” when she sees him.

Narducci and De Niro joined forces again in 2019’s The Irishman during which she admits to listening to De Niro and Joe Pesci reminisce for hours in a car.
