TikTok's Addison Rae to star in 'She's All That' Remake

The 1999 teen romantic comedy She's All That is getting a reboot- except this time its plot is getting reversed. Miramax, the studio that brought the original movie is gender-swapping the version into He's All That.
The film will star one of TikTok's biggest personalities Addison Rae (full name Addison Rae Easterling) in the lead. The aspiring actress shared the thrilling news with her 27.6 million Instagram followers.
“My dreams are coming true!!! I’m so excited to finally share the news that I am getting the opportunity to make my acting debut in HE’S ALL THAT which is a remake of one of my all-time favorite movies, SHE’S ALL THAT, Addison Rae captioned, “I’m so grateful for the opportunities that have been presented to me and none of it would have ever happened without every single one of you.”

She also went on to share her excitement to work with the team and gave out thanks for love and support.
Rae will be playing Paget, a social media influencer, attempting to makeover a nerdy guy into the school prom king. The 19-year-old Rae, who has 60 million followers on the platform, will be filling the role which was played by Freddie Prinze Jr. in the original film. Mark Waters, director of Mean Girls, Mr. Popper's Penguins, and 2003’s Freaky Friday will direct the film while Jennifer Gibgot and Andrew Panay are the two renowned producers.
However, it is still unclear who will play Addison Rae's romantic interest. R. Lee Fleming Jr., She's All That's Screenwriter, will also be working with the project to write the script for this remake.
Miramax CEO Bill Block told Variety, “This reboot is a welcomed step towards a new generation of Miramax storytelling, part of our greater strategy to leverage our existing library with fresh, re-imagined content in both film and TV.”
