Vincent Kartheiser files for divorce from wife Alexis Bledel

Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser are going ahead with the divorce.

The 43-year-old Vincent Kartheiser, well known for starring in AMC’s Mad Men and HBO’s Titans, has filed for divorce from Alexis Bledel, 40, after eight years of marriage.

Kartheiser and Bledel had met on the set of Mad Men but waited until filming was over before dating. In March 2013, the notoriously private pair confirmed their engagement. They had secretly married in June 2014.

In an interview with Nylon in 2015, Bledel had spoken of her wedding and the planning process, “It was surreal to kind of go through the scenes of the wedding itself and think about how much these characters have to go through just to get to that point. And, you know, it was so easy for me to just plan my wedding and celebrate and have everyone be happy for me.”

The former pair welcomed a son in the fall of 2015, which they kept under the radar. 

The news of the baby’s birth was eventually accidentally revealed by Scott Patterson, who co-starred with Bledel in Gilmore Girls, during an interview with Glamour in the spring of 2016.
