P. K. Subban’s birth took place on May 13, 1989, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He was born as Pernell-Karl Sylvester Subban to father Karl Subban, a school principal, and mother Maria Subban. Karl had immigrated from Jamaica to Sudbury, while Maria had come from Montserrat to Hamilton.
Subban is not the only child of his parents and has four siblings- sisters Nastassia Subban and Natasha Subban, and brothers Jordan Subban and Malcolm Subban, who are all ice hockey players.

Hockey Leagues
Subban started his junior career in ice hockey with the Belleville Bulls of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). He played for the team from 2005 to 2009.
In May 2009, P. K. Subban was signed to a three-year contract by the Montreal Canadiens. His 2009-2010 season began with the Hamilton Bulldogs, Montreal's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate. He played for the team until the 2015 season.
On June 29, 2016, Subban was traded to the Nashville Predators. With the team, he played against the Pittsburgh Penguins. On June 22, 2019, P. K. Subban was traded to the New Jersey Devils in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.

International Games
