Anna Shaffer is an actress, model by profession, and British by nationality. She is well known for starring in Hollyoaks as Ruby Button, in the Harry Potter film series as Romilda Vane, and in The Witcher as Triss Merigold.

Early Days

In 2009, Anna Shaffer was cast in the hit film Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince as Romilda Vane. 

Her character in the film tried to use a love potion on Harry Potter. In 2010 and 2011, she reprised the role in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, respectively.

Since then, Anna Shaffer has starred as a regular in the TV series Hollyoaks (2011-2014, 2017-2018) as Ruby Button and as a guest star in Glue (2014), Class (2016), and Fearless (2017). 

In late 2019, it was announced that Anna Shaffer had been cast in the Netflix series The Witcher as Triss Merigold. She portrayed the character until 2025. Moreover, she has had appearances in Warehouse Republic’s music video for YDEK in the year 2012.
