Betty Gilpin’s birth took place on July 21, 1986, in New York City, USA. She was born as Elizabeth Folan Gilpin to mother Ann McDonough and father Jack Gilpin, who are both actors. 

Jack is notable for starring in the TV series Kate & Allie, Law & Order, and the 2008 film 21, while Ann is known for her role in the 1987 drama/comedy film Moonstruck. 

She is not the only child of her parents and has siblings- brothers Sam Gilpin and Harry Gilpin.
