Who is Chloe Bailey?

Chloe Bailey is a singer, actress by profession, and American by nationality. With sister Halle Bailey, she is one half of the R&B duo Chloe x Halle.

Chloe Bailey’s birth took place on July 1, 1998, in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. She was born Chloe Elizabeth Bailey to mother Courtney Bailey and father Doug Bailey. She is not the only child of her parents and has two siblings, a younger sister named Halle Bailey and a younger brother named Branson Bailey.

She did not attend regular school and was instead home-schooled. Her ethnicity is African-American.

Like her sister, Chloe Bailey too has maintained her privacy when it comes to her personal life. She has yet to share the name and details of her current partner. Although we take her to be single, a secret romance cannot be ruled out.

Previously, Bailey dated  Diggy Simmons in 2019, Memphis Depay from 2020 to 2021, rapper Gunna in 2020, Jack Harrow in 2021, and Future in 2021.

Early Career

Chloe Bailey began her career young – in 2010, at the age of 12. With sister Halle Bailey, she started uploading pop song covers on YouTube under the name Chloe x Halle. Soon they started to gain subscribers. 

Their father realized their potential and left his day job to become their full-time manager. Chloe x Halle then began to perform all over Atlanta.

In September 2013 Chloe Bailey and  Halle Bailey released their first EP titled Uncovered under the name Chloe x Halle. But the duo failed to gain much attention. Undefeated they released their second EP Sugar Symphony on  April 29, 2016, followed by a mixtape The Two of Us, released in March 2017.

Career takes off

Chloe Bailey’s breakthrough came with  Beyoncé's Lemonade visual album as Chloe x Halle was featured in it. In  Beyoncé's The Formation World Tour in Europe, the duo served as the opening act. 

Their single The Two of Us, which was released in 2017, reached No. 17 on Rolling Stone magazine's Best R&B Albums of 2017 list.  Chloe x Halle also had an opportunity to work in the TV series Grown-ish’s theme song Grown and the film A Wrinkle in Time’s soundtrack Warrior.

Chloe Bailey and Halle Bailey’s single Warrior is featured in their debut album The Kids Are Alright, which was released on  March 23, 2018.

As an actress Chloe Bailey has starred in films The Fighting Temptations (2003), Last Holiday (2006), Meet the Browns (2008), Gospel Hill (2009), Let It Shine (2012), and Joyful Noise (2012). She has also had an appearance in the TV series House of Payne (2007), Austin & Ally (2013), and Grown-ish (2018-present).
