Who is Halle Bailey?
Halle Bailey is an actress, R&B singer by profession, and American by nationality. She is one half of the sister duo Chloe x Halle, the other being Chloe Bailey, and was cast as Aerial in the remake of Disney’s The Little Mermaid.

Halle Bailey’s birth took place on March 27, 2000, in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. She was born as Halle Lynn Bailey to mother Courtney Bailey and father Doug Bailey. She is not the only child of her parents and has two siblings, an older sister Chloe Bailey, and a younger brother- Branson Bailey (younger brother).
Both were raised in Los Angeles, California. Growing up, the sisters were encouraged to sing and follow their dreams. Halle Bailey also learned to play cello and violin at a very young age and taught herself to play guitar.

Halle Bailey did not attend regular school and was instead home-schooled and graduated from high school on June 8, 2018.

Early Career
Halle Bailey along with her sister Chloe Bailey formed a group named Chloe x Halle. At first, they started doing covers of pop songs on YouTube. Since starting their career in 2010, they slowly began to gain subscribers. Recognizing the sisters’ potential, their father quit his day job and became their full-time manager and they began performing all over Atlanta.
Their first EP titled Uncovered was released in September 2013 but was not much recognized. Chloe x Halle’s EP titled Sugar Symphony was released on April 29, 2016. This was followed by a mixtape The Two of Us, released in March 2017.
Career takes off
They were also featured in Beyoncé's Lemonade visual album and also served as her opening act for The Formation World Tour in Europe.
In 2017 the duo released a single The Two of Us which reached No. 17 on Rolling Stone magazine's Best R&B Albums of 2017 list. They also released the theme song for the TV series Grown-ish titled Grown in December 2017. Eventually, the sisters were cast in the series.
Their debut album The Kids Are Alright was released on March 23, 2018, and featured the track Warrior, which is also the film A Wrinkle in Time’s soundtrack.

In July 2019 it was announced that Halle Bailey has been cast as Ariel in the remake of The Little Mermaid. She has also appeared in the films Last Holiday (2006), Let It Shine (2012), Joyful Noise (2012), and in the TV series House of Payne (2007), Austin & Ally (2013), and Grown-ish (2018).
