Estabrook began her career as Eylie in the 1976 theatre production of Ladyhouse Blues. She played Princess Kogatin in the theatre play Marco Polo from 1976 to 1977.

Her debut TV appearance was in the 1979 film The Bell Jar. This was followed by minor roles in the films The Wall (1982), Almost You (1985), Presumed Innocent (1990), The Usual Suspects (1995), and episode(s) of the TV series George Washington (1984), Hometown (1985), The X-Files (1994), The Crew (1995-1996), The Secret Diary of Desmond Pfeiffer (1998), among others.
