This was followed by roles in the films Breathe In (2013) as Aaron, 36 Saints (2013) as Sebastian, Delivery Man (2013) as Channing, When the Game Stands Tall (2014) as Danny Ladouceur, Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List (2015) as Gabriel.

Matthew Daddario’s breakthrough came in 2016 as he was cast as the main character, Alec Lightwood, in the supernatural drama series Shadowhunters. He portrayed the character until 2019.
