Who is Cynthia Bailey?

Cynthia Bailey is a model, actress, and reality TV star by profession, and American by nationality. She is well known for starring in The Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) and as the wife of Mike Hill, a Fox Sports Correspondent.

Cynthia Bailey – Age, Parents, Siblings

Cynthia Bailey’s birth took place on February 19, 1967, in Decatur, Alabama, USA. She was born Cynthia Denise Bailey to her father Elijah Bailey and her mother Barbara Bailey who worked in an auto factory and sewing factory respectively. She is not the only child of her parents and has a sibling, a younger sister named Malorie Bailey-Massie.

Education, Ethnicity

After graduating from Deshler High School, in which she was crowned homecoming queen and was a cheerleader, she went to study at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

She belongs to the African-American ethnicity.

Cynthia Bailey – Boyfriend, Husband, Children, Divorce

Since rising to fame in her teens Cynthia Bailey has been known to be in numerous relationships. She dated then-basketball player Jayson Williams in 1996. Williams proposed to her during a Brooklyn Nets halftime show but she rejected the proposal. 

A similar situation and breakup also occurred between herself and writer, and producer Russell Simmons.

She was in a relationship with actor and singer Leon Robinson in the late 1990s. On November 9, 1999, Bailey gave birth to their daughter Noelle Robinson but she and her boyfriend soon separated.

Bailey then went on to marry Peter A. Thomas on 24 July 2010 at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History. This marriage did not last long and after around 6 years of marriage, she and her husband divorced on March 13, 2017, having separated in 2016.

Cynthia Bailey then went on to date Fox Sports correspondent Mike Hill which they announced in August 2018. They got engaged in July 2019 and married him on October 10, 2020.

Modeling

While still a university student Cynthia Bailey also competed in local beauty pageants. Although she did not win the competition, she was discovered by Wilhelmina Models' talent scout. Bailey, then aged 18, moved to New York City and signed a five-year contract with the modeling agency, having funded the move through a part-time job at a mall.

Cynthia Bailey worked as a runway model in Paris and Milan for a year before returning to New York City. There she modeled for brands such as Maybelline, Oil of Olay, Target, and magazines such as Vogue, Glamour, Elle, Vanity Fair, Essence, etc.

Films, Series

Alongside modeling, Cynthia Bailey also began to land minor roles in films and series. Her first roles were in films The Dark Power (1985), Without You I'm Nothing (1990), and For Love or Money (1993), etc.

She also was able to land minor roles in numerous TV series including The Cosby Show (1990), and New York Undercover (1995). Finally, in 2010 Cynthia Bailey was cast in Bravo TV’s reality show The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

In the last decade, Bailey has guest-starred in The Next:15 (2016), Sharknado: The 4th Awakens (2016), and How High 2 (2019), among others. Moreover, she has had appearances in the music video for New Order’s Round & Round, and Jaheim’s Age Ain't a Factor, to name a few.
