Who is Debbie Rowe?

Debbie Rowe is a nurse by profession and American by nationality. She is famous as the ex-wife of Michael Jackson and mother to his two children, Prince Jackson, and Paris Jackson.

Debbie Rowe – Age, Parents, Siblings

Debbie Rowe’s birth took place on December 6, 1958, in Spokane, Washington, USA. She was born Deborah Jeanne Rowe to her mother Barbara Chilcutt and her father Gordon Rowe. 

Her parents divorced a few weeks before her second birthday and she was raised by her mother, a few aunts, and her maternal grandmother. She is not the only child of her parents and has a sibling, a sister named Loretta Scarlett Rowe.

For education, she attended Hollywood High School. Her ethnicity includes English, French, and Australian.

Rowe married her boyfriend Richard Edelman in 1982. After marrying Edelman, she converted to Judaism. But the marriage ended in divorce in 1988 after six years.

She then met the King of Pop  Michael Jackson while working as an assistant in Arnold Klein's dermatology office. Jackson was being treated there for vitiligo. According to Debbie Rowe, Jackson who had divorced his wife Lisa Marie Presley in 1996 was upset that he might never become a father. She then proposed to bear his children.

The couple married on November 14, 1996, when she was six months pregnant with Jackson’s child. She gave birth to her husband’s child, son Michael Joseph Jackson I on February 13, 1997, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Their second child, daughter Paris Michael Katherine Jackson was born on April 3, 1998.

After Paris was born Rowe could not bear Jackson any more children. Six months later they filed for divorce, never having lived together.

They divorced on October 8, 1999, she gave up custody of both her children to her ex-husband Jackson. However, she did make attempts to regain custody in 2001 and reversed her decision in 2004.

In April 2014, Rowe announced that she was engaged to Marc Schaffel, a producer, and former Neverland Ranch videographer.

Debbie Rowe – Controversy

Rowe’s and Jackson’s marriage has been called rather an "economic" one than a conventional one; she was in it for the money and Jackson wanted a baby.

Through the divorce, Rowe received a US $8 million settlement and a house in Beverly Hills, California. Since then she has been embroiled in several lawsuits.
