Before fame

Rupert Vansittart Started his professional career in 1985 as Jack in the TV series Bulman. This was followed by minor roles in Plenty (1985), Half Moon Street (1986), Buster (1988), Wish Me Luck (1988–1989), and Chef! (1993), Braveheart (1994). He finally landed his breakthrough role in Pride and Prejudice (1995).

Since then Vansittart has starred in the Mr. Bean series, The Thin Blue Line, Johnny English Reborn, Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994), Arsenic and Old Lace (2003), Midsomer Murders (2002), Margaret (2009), The Iron Lady, and as Lord Yohn Royce in the HBO series Game of Thrones.

Vansittart has been active in theatre since 1989. He has portrayed roles in the production of A Westwood Diary (1996), Arsenic and Old Lace (2003), This House (2013), and Great Britain (2014).
