Holly Hunter was born on March 20, 1958, in Conyers, Georgia, United States. His mother Opal Marguerite was a housewife, and his father Charles Edwin Hunter, was a farmer and sporting goods manufacturer's representative. Her full name/birth name is Holly P. Hunter.
She is not the only child of her parents and has six older siblings- a sister who is nine years older and five older brothers. Talking about her childhood, Hunter revealed that she was raised by her whole family - her parents, and siblings.

For her education, Holly Hunter studied at Carnegie Mellon University, earning a degree in drama.

Holly Hunter – Boyfriend, Husband, Children, Divorce
Holly Hunter was married to longtime boyfriend Janusz Kaminski. They tied the knot on 20 May 1995. But after 6 years together, Hunter and Kaminski’s marriage failed. She and her husband finalized divorce on 21 December 2001.
Holly Hunter met British actor Gordon MacDonald in 2001. Both were working in By the Bog of Cats and were also love interests in the movie. Their love for each other also blossomed in real life.
They soon began dating, taking the status of boyfriend and girlfriend. The couple’s relationship was more solidified when Hunter gave birth to their first children together- beautiful healthy baby twin boys. The boys they had named Press MacDonald and Claude McDonald were born in January 2016.
As of 2019, the couple has not married and seems to be happy in their relationship.
Health
When Hunter was a young child, she suffered from mumps, resulting in her left ear going deaf. But that did not stop her from her goal to become an astounding actress.
The condition did complicate her work. However, the crew supported her condition by altering the script to use her right ear instead.

Early Days
Holly Hunter, after graduating from the University, performed at the City Theatre. Eventually, she moved to New York City and lived with actress Frances McDormand, as a roommate.
An elevator incident gave her a big break she so much needed when trying to make it onto the big screens! Holly Hunter got stuck in an elevator with playwright Beth Henley!
One conversation led to another and Hunter got to know Henley. Hunter was soon given her big breakthrough by Henley, landing a role in Henley's play Crimes of the Heart. She was given an opportunity to star in The Miss Firecracker Contest.
