Who is Jake Roche?

Jake Roche is an actor, singer, and songwriter by profession, and British by nationality. He is well known as the lead vocalist of the band Push Baby (formerly Rixton) and starring in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale.

Jake Roche – Age, Parents, Siblings

Jake Roche’s birth took place on 16 September 1992 in Reigate, Surrey, England, UK. He was born Jake Peter Roche to his father Shane Richie Sr., an actor, and his mother Coleen Nolan, a singer and TV personality. He and his sibling- older brother Shane Roche Jr. were raised by their parents, who had divorced when he was nine years old. 

From his father's second marriage, he has three half-siblings - Romani-Skye Angel Shelley Roche, Lolita Bell Roche, and Mackenzie Blue Roche. On his mother’s side, he has a half-sister named Ciara Fensome.

Education, Ethnicity

Jake Roche was educated at St Mary's Catholic College and Reigate College. He also trained at The Sylvia Young Theatre School for two years. 

His ethnicity is Irish.

Jake Roche – Girlfriend, Relationship

Jake Roche was in a romantic relationship with singer Chloe Lloyd. However, it did not last and the pair soon broke up.

He dated Little Mix member Jesy Nelson for two years. He and his (then) girlfriend were engaged in 2015 after he proposed to her in the middle of a Little Mix soundcheck, aided by Ed Sheeran who surprised her with the song Tenerife Sea. They broke off their engagement in November 2016.

Roche went on to date and marry Madeleine Wahdan on 9 July 2022. He and his wife are yet to have children of their own.

Currently, he is believed to be single.

As a singer

Jake Roche is the lead vocalist of the band Push Baby (formerly Rixton). The pop and R&B group is signed by Scooter Braun's SB Projects and members include Charley Bagnall, Lewi Morgan, and Danny Wilkin.

Their EP Me and My Broken Heart was released in 2014 while their 4 singles were released in 2014 and 2015. Finally in 2015, Push Baby released their debut album titled Let the Road.

Roche’s debut role was in the 2004 film Finding Neverland followed by recurring characters in the TV series Loose Women (2009-2015), Emmerdale (2010), and in the TV film Rules of Love (2010). Other credits include as a guest in the TV series Friday Night Dinner (2012), Little Crackers (2012), Scott & Bailey (2012-2013), The Haunted Hathaways (2014), in the film The Croods 2 (2020), and in the TV film The Young Victorians.
