Who is Jordan Caroline?

Jordan Caroline is a basketball player by profession and American by nationality. He currently plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA), having played for the Nevada Wolf Pack.

Jordan Caroline’s birth took place on January 15, 1996, in Champaign, Illinois, United States. He was born to his father Simeon Rice, an NFL player, and his mother Jayna Caroline, a high school and Illinois college track athlete.

His biological father left the family when he was young and he grew up with his step-father as his father figure. He is of mixed ethnicity (African-American, Caucasian) as his maternal grandmother was biracial.

Caroline might be the only child of his parents but has half-siblings- two half-brothers (Cam, RJ) and two half-sisters (Cyd, Kylie). His maternal grandfather was J. C. Caroline a running back for Illinois and a player for the Chicago Bears.

For education, he attended Champaign Central High School and later transferred to Montverde Academy, Florida. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at Southern Illinois University in 2014. After a year he transferred to Nevada University, graduating in 2019.

His ethnicity includes African-American and Caucasian.

Jordan Caroline has a son, born on 3 September 2017, who he refers to as “JC”. He features his son’s pictures on his social media pages frequently but has not shared the name of his girlfriend/baby mamma.

College Career

At Southern Illinois University, Jordan Caroline was named to the Missouri Valley Conference All-Freshman Team. As a freshman, he averaged 9.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. 

As a sophomore at Nevada University, he averaged 15.0 points and 9.2 rebounds per game while in his junior year averaged 17.7 points and a Pack-leading 8.6 rebounds per game while shooting 47.4 percent from the field. 

Jordan Caroline finished his senior season averaging 17.0 points per game, 9.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists.

Professional career

Despite impressive college stats, Jordan Caroline went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft. However, a day later he signed an Exhibit 10 Contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.
