Karen David released her debut single It's Me (You're Talking To) in 2003 after signing with BMG Music. Collaborating with A. R. Rahman, they made the main theme song for the film Provoked in 2006. She eventually released her first EP The Live Sessions EP (2008) and Magic Carpet Ride (2009). Her debut studio album The Girl in the Pink Glasses was released in May 2010 while her third EP Dust to Stars was released in 2013.
