Who is Lil Pump?
Lil Pump is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He is best known for the single Gucci Gang which topped at 3rd on Billboard Hot 100 and was certified gold and platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
He collaborated with Kayne West in I Love It and with Skrillex in Arms Around You.
Lil Pump – Age, Parents, Siblings
Grazzy Garcia, professionally known as Lil Pump was born on 17th August 2000 in Miami Florida. He was born in a Mexican family but the names of his parents are not known.
His Mexican father and Cuban mother were from Colombia but divorced when he was 6 years old. He has an older half-brother and his cousin is Lil Ominous.
He was introduced to Omar Pineiro, also known as Smokepurpp by his cousin when he was 13 years old. They became best friends and were together on drugs and other illegal stuff. They were also drawn toward Smokepurpp's music and later worked together.

He got into a lot of fights in school and does drugs like marijuana. He was expelled from multiple district schools and from Opportunity High School for fighting and starting a riot.
His ethnicity includes Cuban, and Mexican.

Lil Pump has been seen with several girls and posted many romantic pictures with many young girls. He was rumored to have a relationship with Miranda Cosgrove, Danielle Bregoli, and Bhad Bhadie.
He sparked a controversy when he uploaded a photo with a child and declared a daughter with Miranda in March 2018.

Lil Pump – Career
Getting started
Lil Pump started his career rapping freestyle and Smokepurpp produced the track at the age of 15. It was released in 2016 as The Single on the website SoundCloud which became popular quickly.
He quickly released singles Elementary, Ignorant, Gang Shit, and Drum$tick which were also widely streamed. His success made him recognized as a SoundCloud rapper and later had the opportunity to perform at the Rolling Loud Festival.
Hit Singles
In 2017 the singles D Rose and Boss were hits on SoundCloud which were streamed over 70 million. The single D Rose music video was later produced by Cole Bennett professionally known as Lyrical Lemonade. It was released on YouTube on 30th January 2017 and got over 164 million views.
He released the single Gucci Gang on October 2017 which was commercially successful and topped 3rd on Billboard Hot 100 on 3rd November 2017. It was certified gold and platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America on 11 January 2018 and certified triple platinum on 31 July 2018.
With the popularity of his singles, competition rose to sign him, and later signed a contract with Warner Bros. for $8 million on 12 March 2018.

On 13th April 2018, Lil Pump released Esskeetit which peaked at number 24 on the Billboard Hot 100. Pump collaborated with Kayne West for the track I Love It which climbed 1st on Canadian Hot 100. Skrillex released the song Arms Around You featuring Lil Pump, XXXTentacion, Maluma, and Swae Lee.
He was listed in the Forbes 30 under 30 2019 alongside Adriana Arce, Bad Bunny, Juice WRLD, Ziggy Chareton, Yaeji, Mike Darlington, Ari Paunonen, and Kane Brown.

Lil Pump – Harvard
Is Lil Pump a Harvard dropout? The questions were raised when he released a statement that he would be the one making the 2019 Harvard Commencement speech.
In response, Harvard University confirmed that German Chancellor Angela Merkel was the scheduled speaker and she will be the one making the speech.
However, Lil Pump did visit the university’s WHRB radio on February 28 to promote his new album Harvard Dropout. He was there on the campus for an unofficial commencement address, live interview, Q&A, and pop-up merch shop.
Lil Pump – Legal issue
On 15 February 2018, Police found an unloaded handgun with ammunition in his residence, and his mom was investigated for endangering a minor for having unsecured arms at the home.
In December 2018, Lil Pump was arrested in Vega, Copenhagen after the performance and banned from entering the country for 2 years.
On 16th December 2018, he was accused of being racist towards the Chinese community for lyrics in his new song Butterfly Doors. It contains slurs "Ching chong" and "they call me Yao Ming cause my eyes are real low". However, the video was removed later from Instagram and Twitter, and uploaded an apology video on Instagram on 24 December 2018.

He was nominated for Gucci Gang single for Top Streaming Song at the Billboard Music Awards in 2018. He was also nominated for Lil Pump single for Push Artist of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2018.
