Early Days
Lorraine Kelly’s career began with her first job on the East Kilbride News. It was a local newspaper and Kelly had even turned down an opportunity to study English and Russian at a University.
Soon after in 1983, she joined BBC Scotland. After a year, in 1984, working there, she began to work at TV-am as an on-screen reporter covering Scottish news. There she presented Summer Sunday and Good Morning Britain. She worked in TV-am until 1993.
In January 1993, Lorraine Kelly helped launch GMTV by presenting numerous programs. On this news channel, she presented Top of the Morning and Nine O'Clock Live. The latter show was retitled Lorraine Live and then again to LK Today after GMTV was rebranded into GMTV Today in 2000.

Films, Series, TV shows
Again in 2009, GMTV Today was changed back to GMTV. Lorraine Kelly’s show was once again renamed GMTV with Lorraine. In the year 2010, her show was made more regular and began airing all year round. On 9 July 2010, it was announced that Kelly's new program Lorraine would be replacing GMTV with Lorraine. Her final show was broadcast on 15 July 2010.
Over the years, she has also hosted - the ITV series Children's Hospital (2011), Daybreak (2012-2014), Channel 5’s Penguin A&E with Lorraine Kelly (May 2016), and This Morning (2004-2006).
