Although Rissmann has been active as an actor since the mid-2000s, he got to mainstream films in 2011 with the movie Nazi Goreng. Soon, he was cast in films Tod einer Polizistin (2012), Marie Brand und das Lied von Tod und Liebe (2012), Prehistoria (2013), Friesland: Familiengeheimnisse (2015), and Overlord (2018).
