Who is Mark O'Brien?

Mark O'Brien is an actor, director by profession, and Canadian by nationality. He is best known for starring in the Republic of Doyle as Des Courtney and in Halt and Catch Fire as Tom Rendon.

Mark O'Brien’s birth took place on May 7, 1984, in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. His mother worked as a nurse while his father worked as a truck driver. He is not the only child of his parents and has three siblings - older sisters.

Mark O'Brien married his longtime girlfriend Georgina Reilly on 6 January 2013 after years of dating. They had first met on the set of the hit show Republic of Doyle. 

Reilly is an English actress and has starred in The Baker and the Beauty as Piper, City on a Hill as Corie Struthers, and in Goalie Movie as Pat Morey.

He and his wife have a child together. Their daughter Penelope O'Brien was born in November 2017. Currently, the couple is raising their daughter and living their blissful marriage without rumors of extra-marital affairs or divorce.

He has starred in films Downward Calling (2005), Epilogue (2008), Grown Up Movie Star (2009), Better People (2012), Len and Company (2015), Arrival (2016), How It Ends (2018), The Front Runner (2018), Goalie (2019), Marriage Story (2019), etc.

Over the years Mark O'Brien has starred in the TV series Republic of Doyle (2010-2014), Diary of a Deadly P.I. (2012), Hannibal (2014), Halt and Catch Fire (2015-2016), The Last Tycoon (2017), among others.
