Michel Gill is an actor by profession and an American by nationality. He is best known for starring in House of Cards as President Garrett Walker and Mr. Robot as Gideon Goddard.

Michel Gill – Age, Parents, Siblings

Michel Gill was born on April 16, 1960, in New York City, USA, as Michel Racine Gill. He is a first-generation American, as his mother, Nadine Racine, and father, James Vladimir Gill, were holocaust survivors who settled in the United States. 

He was raised alongside his three siblings – sisters Nina Gill, Kitty Gill, and Natasha Gill. After his parents divorced, his mother settled in New York while his father lived in Switzerland until his death in 1995.

Education, Ethnicity

For education, Michel Gill was initially admitted to a prestigious boarding school in Switzerland, Aiglon College. Later on in his life, he joined Tufts University in 1978 before transferring to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 1980. He was admitted to Juilliard School in 1981 and graduated from there in 1985.

His ethnicity is Ashkenazi Jewish.

Michel Gill met fellow actress Jayne Atkinson while both were in the Long Wharf Theatre’s production of The Heiress. After beginning to date in 1992, he married his longtime girlfriend on 3 October 1998. The couple also co-starred in House of Cards, with Atkinson’s role being Secretary of State Catherine Durant.

With his wife, he has a child, a son named Jeremy Gill. There are no rumors of divorce surrounding the married pair.

Early Days

Gill’s debut appearance in the 1984 film Protocol remained uncredited, and his second film appearance was in the 1990s The Palermo Connection. This was followed by roles in the TV movies Afflicted (2013), Dangerous Liaisons (2014), Condemned (2015), and Who Killed JonBenét? (2016), etc. He also had guest roles in the TV series L.A. Law (1994), Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2003), All My Children (2010), The Good Wife (2013), Person of Interest (2014), Forever (2015), The Get Down (2016-2017), etc.

Finally, his role as President Garrett Walker in the TV series House of Cards (2013-2017) was greatly recognized internationally. He appeared in 25 episodes of the series.
