In addition to his famous spouse, Mossimo Giannulli is better known as the fashion designer, entrepreneur, and founder of the clothing company Mossimo. The company is best known to produce essential clothing such as shirts, jeans, jackets, socks, underwear, and additional accessories.

Mossimo Giannulli was born on June 4, 1963, in Southern California, California, USA. His mother Nancy Giannulli was a homemaker while his father Gene Giannulli worked as an architect. He has younger siblings and all were raised in Southern California.
Giannulli was actually born as Massimo Giannulli. When he was in the first grade, his teachers gave advice that he change his name to Mossimo, for easier pronunciation.

Mimo Giannulli has been married twice and divorced once. His first marriage was to a woman named Chris. They were married for a total of five years before divorce claimed their marital status. They also were parents to their son Giannossi Giannulli.
Giannulli’s second marriage is to actress Lori Loughlin, who is best known for her role in Fuller House and When Calls The Heart. The couple married on November 27, 1997, in Newport Beach, California.
From his marriage, Mossimo Giannulli has two daughters. Isabella Rose Giannulli was born on Sept 16, 1998, and Olivia Jade Giannelli was born on Sept 28, 1999. This is also Loughlin’s second marriage. She was previously married to Michael R. Burns from 1989 to 1996.

Heavily influenced by the casual beach lifestyle, Giannulli, who was then a budding fashion designer decided to invest in that lifestyle.
Before fame
With no substantial capital of his own, he had borrowed $100,000 from his father. In the year 1986, Giannulli founded the clothing company Mossimo in Balboa Island, Newport Beach, California, first operating from a garage. In the first year of business, the company grossed $1 million. The following year, the company had a profit of $4 million!

And in 1991, Mossimo Giannulli expanded clothing sales including sweatshirts, knits, and sweaters. By 1995, the company had its own line of women’s clothing and men’s tailored suits. Within eight years, the company Mossimo, Inc. grew into a multimillion-dollar lifestyle sportswear and accessories company.
In 1996, the company’s profit and street credibility decreased.

On March 28, 2000, Mossimo, Inc. teamed up with Target stores and signed a multi-product licensing agreement for a reported $27.8 million.
Finally, in 2006, the company was sold to Iconix Brand Group for an undisclosed sum. The brand is sold in 1,700 stores within the U.S. They also export its products to international consumers in Britain, Australia, the Philippines, South America, Mexico, Japan, and India. Giannulli earned from the brand until 2017.

Mossimo Giannulli – College Scandal
Mossimo Giannulli and his wife Lori Loughlin were arrested on March 12, 2019. They were suspected of being involved in a nationwide college entrance exam cheating scandal. 50 people were charged with using bribery and fraud to secure admission to at least eight universities.
The celebrity couple had been charged with paying over $500,000 in bribes to pave their two daughters' way into USC as bogus rowing recruits. The husband-wife has been charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services fraud. He was later released on $1 million bonds.
Lori Loughlin, and Mossimo Giannulli both served prison sentences, and their daughters, Olivia Jade, and Isabella Giannulli eventually were no longer enrolled at USC.
