Remy Hii is an actor by profession and Australian by nationality. He is well known for starring in films Crazy Rich Asians, Spider-Man: Far From Home, in the series Sisters, Harrow, Crazy Rich AsiansCrazy Rich Asians, Better Man, and in the soap opera Neighbours.

Remy Hii’s birth took place on 5 April 1986 in Queensland, Australia. There is a bit of confusion when it comes to his exact date of birth as many claim it to be 24 July 1986. However, Hii posted a picture of his old passport on Instagram, which shows his birthday.
He was born to an English mother and a Malaysian-Chinese father who was from Sarawak. Remy Hii has not talked about his siblings but in recent years has shared pictures of his nephew, indicating that he is not the only child of his parents and his brothers and/or sisters.
Education, Ethnicity
For education, he attended the Queensland University of Technology after graduating from high school. From 2009 to 2011 he studied at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). Moreover in an October 2019 interview, he revealed that he was a "bit of a nerd in high school" but did not reveal the name of the high school he graduated from.
His ethnicity includes Malaysian, Chinese, and English.

Early Career
While still a student, Remy Hii began theatre work with The Emerge Project. Between 2005 and 2007, he performed in several original productions in Brisbane by local playwrights.
While studying at NIDA, Hii played in the Sydney indie-rock group RAPIDS. The group consisted of fellow actors Angus McLaren, Jamie Timony, and Will Shepherd. Their EP titled RAPIDS was released in 2010.
Acting
After playwright David Brown noticed him, he was cast in the TV series East of Everything and H2O: Just Add Water. This was followed by the lead role of Van Tuong Nguyen in the miniseries Better Man, as Hudson Walsh in the Australian soap opera Neighbours (2013-2014), and as Prince Jingim in Marco Polo (2014-2016).
Since then he has starred in the TV series Sisters (2017), Harrow (2018-2019), and Jane the Novela (2019), which was unaired. In films, Remy Hii has portrayed roles in 2:22 (2017), Crazy Rich Asians (2018) as Alistair Cheng, and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) as Brad Davis.
