Hornsby’s interest in acting started when he auditioned for a spring musical and landed the role in The Wiz as the Scarecrow. After completing his education, he was cast in Off-Broadway productions of To Kill a Mockingbird as the leading role of Atticus Finch, as well as Joe Louis Blues, and Six Degrees of Separation
