Singer and talk show host Adrienne Bailon opened up about her weight-loss journey on Friday, revealing she has lost 20 pounds after making “major changes” to her lifestyle. The 36-year-old posted a video of herself showing off her new curves in a strapless black bikini on Instagram.

“During this time more than ever... Staying healthy is at the top of my mind! This is my first post in a bathing suit since losing 20 lbs.” Bailon wrote, “Now... I’ve lost weight before but always gained it back... because I was dieting & not changing my lifestyle! But not this time... It’s been a year since I “had enough”

Bailon, who does not have children of her own but is the mother of her 48-year-old husband Israel Houghton’s four children from his previous marriage to Meleasa Houghton, explained how she got tired of “complaining about what you don’t like” and is finally ready to “take action & REALLY make changes”.

“Well, I made major changes like choosing to eat a plant-based diet changing my whole relationship with food & working out! I’ve been consistent with my self-discipline.” Adrienne Bailon, “They say it takes 21 days to form a new habit... I just want to encourage you to take this time to develop healthy habits!”

She then added to encourage her followers on developing healthy habits, “Drink your water, squat, rest, read, pray, take your vitamins, eat your veggies!”
