Broadway actor Nick Cordero, 41, is showing the early stages of waking up from a medically-induced coma who has been battling coronavirus for the last two months.

The doctors treating Cordero at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles have seen very small signs of eye movement and tracking which is something he has not been able to do since he went into the coma.

On Wednesday Nick Cordero’s wife of over 2 years, Amanda Kloots took to social media to share the news an in an emotional Instagram story, calling “the best news they’ve gotten so far.”

“The doctor just called and said that Nick is showing very, very, very early, early, early signs of stages of tracking.” she said, “The doctor just really thinks this is a great sign that he is starting to wake up.”

Just days ago she had reported that her husband had a “rocky night” when his oxygen levels fell too low and doctors had to take him into surgery. He was reported to be in critical condition in April 2020 and on April 18, 2020, his right leg was amputated as a result of complications.
