Anthony Rapp and Ken Ithiphol are new parents!

The Rent star shared the exciting news via Instagram, “Ken and I are thrilled to share that our family has grown!”

The longtime partners have named their baby Rai Larson Ithiphol.

Rapp continued in the social media post which should them lovingly showing off their newborn, “Our son, Rai Larson Ithiphol, was brought into the world on Friday, December 2, 2022, by an incredibly generous surrogate, to whom we are eternally grateful. We love him very much.”

Rapp, the Broadway star, and Ithiphol, a yoga instructor, began dating in 2016 after Ithiphol DM’d Rapp after he had seen the actor and singer perform in Los Angeles.

Anthony Rapp then proposed to his longtime boyfriend after three years. The couple got engaged once more after Ithiphol popped the question in 2020 while hiking at Boynton Canyon in Sedona, Ariz.

It is unclear if the pair had tied the knot.

“His sense of responsibility and ethics informs everything in his life, and when I told him what I was going to do, he was immediate in his support,” Rapp revealed in an interview with Startrek.com.

Ithiphol has always been supportive of  Rapp during his years-long sexual assault lawsuit with Kevin Spacey. After accusing the House of Cards star of making a sexual advance toward him in 1986 when he was 14 and Spacey was 26, he had filed a lawsuit for $40 million under New York’s Child Victims Act.

However, Rapp lost the case in a hearing in October 2020 and was instead ordered to pay the defendant $39,000.
